These wines combine their quality to the name Carthusian monks who, since 1598, lead a solitary life of prayer in the Convent of Santa Maria Scala Coeli.

The red wines are based on the most common varieties of Alentejo: Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alfrocheiro, Periquita, Moreto and Ink Caiada. With aging in oak wood, are wines with good structure, elegant and matching flavors of the grape varieties used to a persistent and complex flavor.

The Red Book Charterhouse result of a careful selection of varieties of older vineyard plots of Eugenio de Almeida Foundation.

Brand profile as well as mature fruit aroma, some toast and confectionery, light plant, cocoa. Tannins safe, smooth and creamy texture, slightly dry finish and well spiced.
