THE WINE
Quinta dos Bons Ares is located in the Douro Superior, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in a very specific "terroir" where the granitic soil and its altitude give the grapes an unusual acidity and aromatic potential in this region. In addition to these characteristics, the other particularity of this wine is the "blend": between the New and Old World; between traditional varieties (Touriga Nacional and Touriga Francesa) and international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon; between maceration in granite winches and stainless steel robots. Casa Ramos Pinto has an example of innovative tradition in this wine. A modern classic.

VINIFICATION
The grapes were harvested manually in small boxes and immediately received at the Quinta dos Bons Ares winemaking center. The fermentation was 100% in stainless steel vats, between 25 and 28 degrees of temperature followed by a long maceration. After malolactic fermentation, 50% of the wine aged for 14 months in barrels and French oak barrels of 2 and 3 years.

TEST RESULTS
Ruby color, dense, dark, clean and shiny.
Intense aroma of red fruits, strawberry jam, dark chocolate and spices.
In the mouth it is consistent, solid and with a serious entrance, involving our papilas with notes of blackberries, stewed and a touch spicy. The Bons Ares Red 2013 draws us by your nerve and energy. Of note its great potential for aging.

GASTRONOMY & GUARD
Try the Bons Ares red 2013 as an aperitif served with sausages, meat croquettes, alheira puff pastry and Chaves cake. The style of this wine makes it the ideal accompaniment of
more intense flavors, hunting (stewed boar), roasted kid or red meat on the grill.
At the end of the meal, try it with a buttery buttery cheese.
Consumption temperature between 16 and 18º C.
Store bottle lying in a cool, dry place away from light.
