Although Domingos Soares Franco sign all wines from José Maria da Fonseca, there are some who reserves to himself as special. Called them Domingos Soares Franco - Private Collection. These wines result from the combination of three factors: their training at Davis; the influence of his uncle; and the availability of 650 hectares of vineyards of José Maria da Fonseca and the collection, unique in Portugal, planted them castes.

The harvest 2004 allowed Domingos Soares Franco present in its Private Collection, a generous wine made from Muscat grape in her pink version: the Moscatel Roxo. This is a very rare grape, who arrived at risk of extinction. Although it can be considered similar to its namesake white, its appearance is different because of its purple color.
